I called about inspecting a vehicle. As I am 2 hours drive I was hoping to get some questions answered first so I dont waste my time. It looked like possible rust on the top of a 7 month old vehicle but it could just be dirt. The pictures don't really show it well but...

I wrote this original comment. I did go look at the camper trailer only to find the pictures were very misleading.

Parts were actually taped on with masking tape. Heaps of rust, possible water damage and the year was incorrect (it was actually 2016 not 2019). I called the company selling it, they suggested we dont go near it, it is not worth repairing. We did not bid but we did watch some poor person bid around $12,000 on it.

The original owner also acknowledges that the year was incorrect but made no efffort to correct it.

Liars and theives, both the seller and auction house. I will never look at the Grays site again.

Inaccurate descriptions. | GraysOnline review from Kew, Victoria County

Purchased a vehicle from them. BMW X4, the vehicle was described as having heated front seats, however, this was incorrect. The other error in the description of the vehicle was that it had two keys, however, after paying for the vehicle and then picking it up, I was handed only the one key. I asked for the second key as per the description on their web site and was told that I should've checked the key issue when inspecting the vehicle prior to buying. I explained I checked the vehicle two days prior to auction finishing and I relied on their description about the key/s - They said not their responsibility. Key fob from BMW cost me $1,156.00 which included supply and programming. CAUTION with buying cars from them. Even after inspecting the car things can go wrong.

Same happened to me - no engine light mention but came on as soon as engine was started on pick up. I say ——They must have a handy tool in the office when they take their photos.

The other interesting fact is how I save certain cars into my folder and see it say SOLD but a few days later it’s re-listed.

At first I thought maybe a dispute with a buyer but why does it get re-listed more than one occasion? Looks a little strange as if they are listing and when it doesn’t reach that reserve they keep re-listing....hmmmm you make your own call on this one.

Failure to disclose evident and obvious defective issues | GraysOnline review from Perth, Western Australia

Purchased a vehicle online. NO mention in the description that engine check light was on. Received the vehicle and found the light was on due to someone overheating the engine and cracking the valves. Company appears to fail to reveal major evident issues such as engine warning light yet records minor and harder to identify issues such as 'suspension needs attention'. Surely it has a duty to disclose major and clearly evident issues such as engine check light flashing?!!

Missing part from an item I bought - GraysOnline review
I have bought on line a commercial tomato slicer, from one photo from the internet, very clean and shiny, brand new, but the real one was dirty and was missing the most important part, the blade cartridge. When I went to pick up, a very polite guy, said to me, everything is here, where is your far, to help you to put it in, and because always I trust people, I put the things in the boot but I couldn't see from the top that the cartridge was missing, thought was there, because the frame is on top of the cartridge. When I went home after so many hours of driving, I realized that I bought a piece of rubbish, worth nothing and no useful for the shop.

Bought the 2010 car based on photos and their comments. Didn't go down to jandakot to start it up. On driving it home after collection, the oil is leaking from the timing cover onto the header, the clutch thrust bearing is stuffed, and the tyres are bald. Has a service...

Don’t be surprised, they have their own dealers and friends in the business. They already know what’s exactly wrong but hide it in such a way with sexy photos and fake books.

Renault Laguna 2007 | GraysOnline review from Newtown, New South Wales

I bought a Renault Laguna sedan 2007 on auction the car was at the yard in Brisbane. The history of the car was good in everything except for minor scratches. When tow truck guy went to pick the car he noticed the front windscreen had a massive crack, he was asked to take the vehicle arriving in Sydney I called the customer service and spoke to Mary the Staff the reply was very Pathetic she said The car was bought as is and not covered by anything and what the booking officer thought was it’s ok although it was not stated in the add. The attitude was so negative. I asked obviously when taking photos he would have noticed the crack the reply was nothing other than trying dodge.
